A comment on some "very" popular website:

"whoever just sent their 10 year old son up to the microphone at Ross's townhall with a written statement he obviously didn't write and couldn't even read well ought to be ASHAMED of themselves!!!!! Using your children as a sympathy card to fight your battles is DISGUSTING."

I suppose its only DISGUSTING when the 10 year old is opposing the healthcare plan, eh? (click here for another source of the little gal)

When are they going to take a step back and realize that the "conservative" movement is simply taking a page out of their own book. I can understand why this person (I know said person personally) believes that healthcare for all is a good idea--I can't understand why said person is so eager to give up freedoms for it.

Senator Blanche Lincoln has decided to deny the citizens of Arkansas a chance to be heard, we have called her office repeatedly and requested an audience to no avail. As recently as today I personally called and ask if there were ANY opportunities to meet with the Senator in a public forum, I was told 'NO'. Tonight just after 6pm I learned of a meeting Sen. Lincoln will be holding in Rogers, AR this Saturday.

She is speaking at a "Health Care Public Event". She has seen fit to evade her constituents, deny us our right to be properly represented and now slaps the voters in the face by appearing in our own back yard without the courtesy of an invitation or even a notice. Notice of this meeting as of tonight is NOT posted on any of her sites and appears to have only been sent to members of the OFA.

Please join hopefully HUNDREDS if not THOUSANDS of Arkansans to say ENOUGH! WE WILL NOT BE SILENCED! This may be our one and ONLY chance to express in MASS our dissatisfaction and concerns about the current issues facing our families!

Not saying that I'm an Arkansas resident or anything...but if I were I sure know who I would NOT be voting for come 2010. I can't believe this woman has the gall to do this as she's up for re-election and has quite a few people running after her job!!

Furthermore, how is this entire country (libs, conservatives, republicans, democrats, libertarians) not ALL in an up roar of the way our current Congressman and Women and Senators are treating their constituents (see here and here) and refer to above (Lincoln).

I could continue to go on and on...but I choose not to right now. A) because its Friday and B)because I hate my job and can only be angry at one thing at a time.

So, rather than think about the double standards our government is now demonstrating on a daily basis... I choose to think about football. Thank goodness its almost here!! By the way, Congressman X moved his "town hall" meeting to the middle of the day--without much notice, maybe to prevent those astroturf mobs from showing up? Ha. They found him anyway.
